AiRato Wins the “NEDO President’s Award” at the Award for Academic Startups 2025

AiRato Inc. is pleased to announce that it has received the “NEDO President’s Award” at the “Award for Academic Startups 2025” hosted by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).

About the Award

AiRato Inc., based on research achievements from Tohoku University, is developing AI-powered software to support radiation therapy, aiming to improve therapeutic outcomes and streamline operations in clinical practice.The social significance and technological advancement of this initiative were highly evaluated, leading to this award.

Building on this recognition, we will further strengthen our research and development framework, accelerate product implementation, and expand collaboration with medical institutions in Japan and abroad. In particular, through our contribution to medical DX (digital transformation), we will continue to move forward toward realizing our mission of enabling radiation therapy to cure as many cancer patients as possible.

About the Award for Academic Startups

The “Award for Academic Startups,” launched in 2014, recognizes outstanding university-based startups that have commercialized research and development outcomes and are expected to achieve future success. It also honors universities and companies that have made significant contributions to their growth.

The purpose of this initiative is to further promote entrepreneurship based on university R&D achievements, as well as bold efforts taken after startup launch, and to encourage greater support from universities and industry.
